The sellers on Amazon that are selling the Yamakasi monitors raised their prices also. The PR on this monitor brought awareness of this class of monitor into the mainstream. These Korean imports come with a caveat from those shippers that are reputable. There is a long list of POWERFUL(but older) video cards that the imports are not compatible with. My card is listed. I am specifically using 2 - 2GB HD5870 Asus Eyefinity6 cards. The imports will NOT work with my cards. I have used these cards for 3D, 'surround' gaming, and trading on 6 1920*1200 monitors. They worked fine with the Nixeus. This shows me the quality of the electronics inside the monitor and that is worth a lot to me as I use these for productivity most of the time, not gaming. These cards cost $625 each from Newegg. I was fortunate enough to get them both for $560 brand new with the receipt from Newegg from the original purchaser. (Long story short-the original company bought them and later bought an HP Enterprise computer. The HP representative then told them that if they put those cards in their machine it would void their warranty. To get a cheaper korean monitor I would have to invest in a video card. The only one that would fit my needs would be this HD7970 because of the ports it has. In looking at the total cost of ownership I am better off buying Nixeus Vue monitors. Next year I may be looking to purchase a new video card in the AMD 8xxx series or the Nvidia 7xx series. From what I am reading and from the ASUS 5870 card you have - you are using a mini-display to displayport cable to connect to the Vue? Also with the cheaper Korean monitor imports you may need an 'Active' displayport to DVI-D adapter that runs an additional $70+ per unit for you in some cases vs a cheaper displayport only cable to go multi-monitor with the Nixeus Vue. Thanks for the info and Keep us updated on how everything goes. I have one that I had to use with using more than 2 monitors in a 1920*1200 eyefinity setup. The Nixeus works well with DisplayPort.
